About Tasha

My Story!

Growing up I never thought of doing hair as a career path for me. I always thought I was destined to be a pediatric nurse! Ever since I was 16 years old I always had a job in the medical field, I worked as a CNA and a MA for 5 years, I had externships in pharmacies and internships at the hospital.. and my favorite day of the week was the day that we got to curl and style all of our residents' hair for the week. Meanwhile I always had my neighborhood girls in my kitchen doing their hair. Looking back I'm SHOCKED at how none of the mothers in my neighborhood contacted my mother when their daughters would go home with hot pink hair and short A-Line haircuts! (I was 13 and did everyone's hair for free because it was so much FUN). Every Sunday I curled and styled about 5-7 girls hair every week.   When I turned 19 I decided to change my career path from RN to cosmetologist. I packed up everything I owned and moved from Colorado to Utah where there was a beauty college that I could afford on my own. With strict dedication and hard work I was able to complete and graduate the course a year later. It wasn't easy, I attended school Monday-Thursday from 9-7, and continued with my nursing assistant job Friday-Sunday working from 6-6 to put myself through school.  When I graduated school and finally saw the light at the end of a very long tunnel, I never took this career for granite. My creativity, passion, and love for the craft was finally able to shine through by helping my clients transform into better versions of themselves. I always say, "I never worked a day in my life after graduating beauty college."

The Start of my Career
I was young and eager when I first started working as a cosmetologist. Fresh out of beauty school I jumped right into being an independent contractor in a small town. I was scared, anxious, but excited for everything that was about to come my way. I extended my education with local classes and continued to find inspiration and creative freedom from innovative colorists who I looked up too.

With an understanding of different techniques, my ability to bring out the best in every client helped to build a full clientele in under a year. Two years into my career, I moved into a beautiful brand new studio in Salt Lake City that was all mine. My secret to success.. building a genuine connection with each and every person that sat in my chair. The experience in the salon is just as important as the outcome of the hair color.

Shortly after establishing myself in Utah I relocated to Southern California with my husband’s company for 18 months. In the beginning my career was challenged, but this incredible adventure ended up being the BEST thing to ever happen to me as a stylist. I was able to build an entire clientele in 6 months in a city and state where I had no contacts and knew absolutely no one. It challenged me to step out of my comfort zone and to test boundaries that I have never had to before. I was forced to learn how to work on any and ALL textures of hair and from this, the confidence it takes to take on any color on every type of hair was formed. I grew immensely, both personally and as a stylist, from this challenging and eye-opening experience.

Now I am located back in Downtown Salt Lake City in a beautiful salon space, still my own boss and doing what I love most. Nothing makes me happier than helping people not only look incredible but also showing my clients how to feel and appreciate their own beauty! I work 7 days a week – not because I have to, but because I simply want to. Every time I have someone in my chair, whether you’re new or a repeat client, I will always take my time to make sure we are on the same page with your desired results. We will discuss your hair history, the look you want to achieve, lifestyle, timing, and pricing. This is only the first step to building our relationship to ensure the investment you make for yourself is what you expect and worth your time and money.

If you’re ready for the best hair cut and color of your life, let’s make the reservation!

Although I’ve been a professional stylist for over 5 years, I still find myself saying, “I haven’t worked a day in my life since graduating beauty college.

From Balayage to Beach Blonde to Color Correction and any combination or variation of each, I am able to provide precisely what your hair needs and give you the look you want!

I strive for perfection in everything I do. This is what my happy clients have come to expect from me and why they refer me to friends and family.

Although I learn new and useful things working at the salon everyday, I appreciate opportunities to continue my education to learn new and improved techniques and products.
